Welcome to the family, Sony Bravia

First and foremost I am not endorsing this product and I am not paid by them. The title may seem to be but it was just a random thought so I just titled it just like that. Our Samsung monitor gave up on us and so we needed to replace anew. I understand that our monitor served us for four long years and it has reached its last.

Hubby didn’t look for just a monitor but instead an LCD tv that we can use since most of the time we use our pc to watch and work at the same time. He did just buy HDMI cable which costs around Rs 700.00 and for the television, it was on EMI which is easier for us to handle.

This is not a review on the performance of Sony Bravia. I would not say anything about the matter. But just a thought about the product since it has pc input, FM radio built, bass booster with digital noise reduction and you can instantly put your USB stick at the back and watch movie without turning your pc on. But the difference is that when you watch a movie with subtitle (not embedded subs), the subtitle won’t appear on your USB, it can only be seen when it is played on your pc.

The sound is quite okay but we still use our speakers. It is 22” tv and I can say that the quality of the picture is just fine, which speaks equally to its price. It comes with a stand if we wanted to place it in our wall, the service man will put it to where we want. But I told my husband to just keep it on our pc table since the wall of our flat isn’t that great to install such LCD tv and besides, if we transfer into a new place, it can be a hassle to remove it so I better keep that metal wall stand.

Our new tv has a warrantee of one year so I do hope that everything will be just fine. Any tips on how to take care of television? We don’t have screen protectors yet, is it really needed? Does it really prevent radiation? Anyway, welcome to the family Sony Bravia.

Lava B8, A New Experience, a New Style

It was my first time to have this type of mobile. It was a gift from hubby because I really wanted something which has a dual sim pack so that I can use my roaming sim and the sim I have here in India. Lava is a local phone produced in India. Well you might say that was new, since most mobiles are made in China or produced there.

Anyway, Lava B8 is really promising. It has WIFI connection ready, Bluetooth, a pad which is QWERTY type looking like your Black berry, and a sensitive track pad which is easy to navigate. It has FM radio, MP3/MP4 player, torch light, 3.2 mega pixel of camera with flash and a video which is just right for me to use. It has PUSH email which you can configure 10 email accounts on your mobile.

I am not that techy savvy. I am just a regular mobile user who is happy to use technology at its simplest form. For me, I don’t need to complicate myself with gadgets and stuffs. Most mobiles offer the same thing but the question is their reliability and durability and they of course differ in prices depending on brand names.

You may call this article a short review, but it’s not paid okay. Just my own personal opinion which I write here so to be honest, it was just timely that I got my new Lava B8 and it does suit my need as a user. The price is also affordable for only Rs 3,300. We ordered it online and it was delivered right on our doorsteps after 2-3 business days.

So far so good I like the simplicity of it. The games included were just for kids to like. Easy to connect internet and the camera is built not too dandy for some since it will always be average but it’s okay for me to use. I’m not so fuzzy about playing music on mobile. The sound wasn’t great compared to Nokia music express but I am not after that at all.

As long as I can communicate well with people that I talked to on the phone and send them messages and hook me up on the net that is fine with me. By the way, it comes with USB charger, a usual battery charger, 2 GB micro SD card, hands free set in a box. Hope to use it well so that it will last longer. Thanks honey for gifting me this mobile!

Craving for Pizza, but not this joint

I was really missing pizzas back home where it is soft and fluffy and yummylicious. I don’t think that I can compare it to any pizza here to where I am now because their consistency is not the same as well as the flavor. I can eat a pizza here and finish it but my palate would ask me, hey is that a pizza or just bread flavored pizza.

the pizza that I ordered, cheese with keema..good thing no flies
dominoes pizza

Prices are also expensive but the quality is really not great. What can I do, I am just a consumer who is just honest with what my tongue is saying. This pregnant lady is really craving for a REAL pizza. But anyway as to what I say, supplementary pizzas here in India because it will always be patterned to the taste buds of Indians.

wooohooo, never heard of this policy before
dominoes

Pardon me for saying or if I may hurt anyone for that statement, but if they happen to travel to other countries and compare it I guess they might say something like I do, not unless their tongue is really born for just one taste.

I have nothing against Dominos, I like it also when I am in my country but this branch that I visited is not that favorable to customers with high respect to cleanliness and sanitation. Their branch might have OTHER visitors too which is really annoying… “FLIES” It was all over every customers table and they don’t seem to care whether it goes to the food you’re eating or not.

What an alibi.. what about cleaning your place for these flies to go away
flies

They don’t serve your order with any tableware, cutlery (Kubyertos); it’s in their alibi policy, hahaha! Well, it’s not a restaurant I presumed, it’s a side street food that they are offering since they say it is good to eat pizza using only hands. If you have issues eating with your bare hands even after washing, well that will be a problem. But if not, then you can just go easy with this one but for me, it will be two thumbs DOWN.

Flies roaming the table, shooing them isn't the solution
flies on table

More flies seated.. ruined everything even if the place is AC
more flies

I enjoy cutting my big chunky pizza using fork and knife, so you may skip on this one for sure. Hope they have a suggestion box that I can drop my suggestion but who cares anyway, I just passed by and will never go back on that same joint.

Note: What I wrote was my own personal opinion and has nothing to do with downing any company or food or nationality. I am just entitled to my own opinion, hope you also respect that, this is my blog.
